26 April 2006: ISSKK and Assuria Ltd are pleased to announce today a collaboration which will provide continuation of existing local support services to the many users of ISS System Scanner technology in the Asia Pacific region. In the second half of 2005, Assuria Ltd of Reading, UK, took over worldwide responsibility for support, maintenance, ongoing development and sales of ISS System Scanner, the market leading host based vulnerability assessment and compliance monitoring technology. Part of the remit agreed between ISS and Assuria for this major technology transfer was that customers should see little or no disruption in their System Scanner support arrangements, so existing customers, new customers and channel partners in non-English speaking countries will be able to continue using their established ISS support channels for all System Scanner queries. Assuria Ltd will be providing direct support to customers and channel partners in English speaking regions, although some such customers may also choose to continue using existing ISS support channels. For more information on these support services, please contact ISSKK at support@iss.net or Assuria at support@assuria.com. About Assuria LimitedAssuria has taken over responsibility for customer support, maintenance, development and ongoing sales of the ISS System Scanner and ISS Secure Log Manager products from ISS. Assuria has licensed the System Scanner source code, development tools and documentation from ISS, and retains a close working relationship with ISS at all levels. Assuria's primary goal is to ensure that ISS System Scanner customers benefit from continued and enhanced support, maintenance and ongoing development services in a seamless transition at the end of their current ISS maintenance agreement and, for the majority of customers, at no additional cost over current agreements. Assuria recognises that most ISS System Scanner users are also users of other ISS technologies and services and we place great emphasis on the need to integrate our services offerings with other ISS technologies and services. ISS System Scanner was developed (under its original name of ‘Security Manager’) between 1993 and 1998 in the United Kingdom by March Information Systems Ltd. Assuria is staffed by an experienced team who were the originators of the March Security Manager product which became ISS System Scanner technology through the acquisition in October 1998 of March Information Systems Ltd. Assuria is headquartered in Reading, in the heart of the UK’s Silicon Valley and based on the campus of Reading University
