2008 - Assuria Auditor Change Detection user interface released.
Assuria is pleased to
announce the release of a new Change Detection user interface as
part of Assuria Information Manager (AIM). AIM is a new interface
to Assuria Auditor database and is fully integrated with and runs
alongside the current Console user interface. The Change Detection
view of Assuria Information Manager (AIM) is designed to help you
monitor and detect changes to systems as recorded in Assuria Auditor
baselines.
Intended for security management and for ongoing operations use, AIM
enables the rapid identification of those systems with changes.
In this Release 1, AIM provides a view of the Assuria Auditor Change
Detection information. A number of additional views for Assuria
Information are planned and will be introduced by Assuria in the
next months.
Change Detection - Assuria Information Manager is available for
download from the usual location on AssuriaOnline (https://www.assuriaonline.com).

5th November
2008 - Windows VISTA Assuria Auditor agent now generally available.
Assuria is
pleased to announce that it has completed testing of an all new
Assuria Auditor agent for Windows VISTA. The VISTA agent is
now generally available to Assuria Auditor users.
The update is compatible with, and suitable for application to all
Assuria Auditor Consoles at AU85 or later.
The VISTA agent is available for download from the usual location on
AssuriaOnline (https://www.assuriaonline.com).
31st October -
Assuriaonline IP address changing.
Our ISP has forced
an IP Address change onto
us
which will be implemented 20:00 GMT today Friday 31st October 2008.
The change may result in the Assuriaonline website being unavailable
for a short time. If you are unable to contact Assuria please
use our emergency email address
'assurialimited@gmail.com'. Sincere apologies to
all our customers if this change caused any problems or
inconvenience.

17th September
- Assuria success with University of Reading SEED program.
During the summer
Assuria participated in the Summer Enterprise Experience & Discovery
scheme (SEED) which is run by the University of Reading's Knowledge
Transfer Centre (KTC).
Assuria supported the scheme by offering paid summer work experience
for Jack Hollingworth, a Computer Science BSc first year student.
Assuria gave him an opportunity to experience life as a software
developer in a small innovative software development company.
Jack’s brief was to help Assuria develop the System Test Harness for
the company’s new scanning tool. The new tool uses credentialed
access to systems to perform configuration assurance and
vulnerability assessment. Jack worked closely with Steve
Saxton, one of Assuria’s experienced software engineers.
At the end of the 8 week assignment, which included two full days
training for the students with a professional trainer, the students
have an opportunity to showcase their achievements.

Dr Colin Baldwin, Knowledge Transfer Manager, SEEDA
On the 2nd September
Jack supported by Steve and with the other 2008 SEED students
presented his project to an audience which consisted of
representatives from the host organisations, academics, senior
representatives from the University and local organisations. The
judges were Dr Colin Baldwin, Knowledge Transfer Manager, SEEDA, Dr
Shirley Williams, University of Reading's School of Systems
Engineering and Alex O'Donnell, winner of last year's Shell Step
project and now working at Microsoft.
Jack Hollingworth was the Overall Winner, Runner-up was Marios
Pastou, a Building Surveying second year who worked with the British
Institute of Facilities Management. The judges also made a Special
Commendation to Rosie Cracknell, a BSc Biochemistry student who
worked with Archimedes Pharma and Kim Cave-Ayland, an MEng
Cybernetics student who worked with Thales UK.

Assuria has been suthorised by HP to use the HP-UX 11i v3 logo
for it's Assuria Auditor agent for HP Integrity Servers.

available.
Assuria is pleased to announce the BETA

(W2k8).

successfully validated Assuria Auditor agent for SuSE Enterprise
